Register (REGON) is continuously updated collection of information on the entities of the national economy in a computer system in the form of the central database and the field databases . It was established on the basis of Article  41 paragraph 1 Point  1 of Act of 29 June 1995 on publics statistics (OJ  U.  of 2012, item  591, as amended)

Entries in a register REGON shall be done by the following:

• legal persons,
• organizational units without legal personality,
• natural persons conducting economic activity (including those running individual farms),
•  local units of above mentioned entities.

Each entity is given a unique identification number REGON.  In accordance with Article  42 paragraph 6 of the Act on public statistics an entity is obliged to submit a relevant application within 14 days from the occurrence of the circumstances justifying the entry, change or deletion from the register (REGON).

Applications for entry, change or liquidation of entities of the national economy in the register (REGON) are accepted at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Wrocław in room 54, ground floor, telephone 71 3716 307, 71 3716 306. Certificates of number identification (REGON) to entities on their explicit request are issued at the headquarters of the Office in Wrocław room 54, ground floor, phone 71 3716 307, 71 3716 306.

Information about the identification number given to the entity and its local units shall be made available on the website of CSO (when you click transfer to the http://www.stat.gov.pl/regon/).

REGON register is public and widely available, data on entities of the national economy are provided free of charge and of charge depending on the range of data.
