I Detailed range of activities of the Statistical Office in Kielce includes:

1. recognition of demand for statistical information and analyses as well as presentation of results of this work in form of proposals for all required elements of programme of surveys of official statistics,
2. organization and conducting of statistical surveys, including general censuses,
3. collection, gathering, storage and processing of statistical data for statistical surveys conducted by the President of the Central Statistical Office,
4. collection, gathering, storage and processing of statistical data for surveys conducted by the Office, specific for needs of the voivodship, powiats and gminas of the Świętokrzyskie voivodship, individually or together with organs of public administration operating on the territory of the voivodship,
5. preparation of analyses and generalisation of aggregate data and final information from statistical surveys, as mentioned in points 3 and 4, within the range each time defined in programme of statistical surveys of official statistics, approved by the Council of Ministers and in a plan of studies determined annually by the President of the Central Statistical Office,
6. participation in methodological work in particular fields of statistics and advising about the methodology and scope of surveys conducted within official statistics,
7. co-operation with organs of public administration operating in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship within the scope of creation and use of administrative data for statistical purposes,
8. dissemination of statistical information about results of statistical surveys of official statistics, including basic figures and indicators,
9. conducting work for needs of regional statistics studies and national accounts,
10. presentation of statistical information to the Świętokrzyskie voivod and to organs of local self-government units from Świętokrzyskie voivodship, within the scope, deadlines and in form defined in the programme of statistical surveys, as mentioned in point 5,
11. maintaining the National Official Business Register REGON in part comprising entities with a seat in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship, including:

a.       accepting applications of entities for registration,

b.       entering data on entities into the register and assignment of identification numbers,

c.       issuance of certificates about assigned identification number,

d.       acceptance from gminas lists of private farms and updating these lists, entering farms into the register and co-operation with gminas in updating the register,

e.       submitting data from REGON register to organs of public administration, organs maintaining other official registers in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship, co-operation with these organs in updating the register,

f.         dissemination of data from REGON register on entities with a seat in the voivodship,

12. conducting work on creating and updating the National Official Register of Territorial Division of the Country (TERYT) and dissemination of information regarding the voivodship, powiats and gminas of Świętokrzyskie voivodship, within the subjective range of the register,
13. organisation and maintaining the net of census enumerators, statistical interviewers and experts,
14. conducting common surveys with the Świętokrzyskie voivod or organ of local self-government unit from Swiętokrzyskie voivodship included at their request in the programme of statistical surveys,
15. promotion of knowledge on statistics,
16. administration of technical and IT infrastructure belonging to official statistics and located in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship.

II The Statistical Office can accept orders for conducting work defined in the 21st Article of the Law stated in §1, in particular:

1. at request, perform analyses supporting other information systems of public administration,
2. at individual request, conducting statistical surveys not included in the programme of statistical surveys of official statistics,
3. perform additional studies and analyses not included in the programme of statistical surveys,
4. conducting training courses and upgrading professional knowledge in the field of statistics.

III Tasks defined in item 2 are not included in the statute of the Office.

IV The Statistical Office is obliged to perform the following specialist national tasks, which are performed within the framework of work conducted for official statistics as a whole:

1.       preparing the methodology, organization and conducting of statistical surveys on underground economy,

2.       compiling the results and analyses of the surveys mentioned in point 1, including national estimations of revenues, wages and salaries and global output in the registered entities within the framework of national accounts,

3.       conducting surveys in the field of illegal production with the use of administrative sources,

4.       conducting surveys within the scope of identification and assessment of new fields of underground economy.
